Titan Engineering & Automation Ltd (TEAL), a subsidiary of Titan Company Ltd under the Tata Group, has announced plans to establish a new electronics manufacturing facility in Chennai and expand its existing operations in Hosur, according to a report by The Hindu Business Line.
The upcoming plant in Chennai will operate from a leased premise and focus on manufacturing electronic components, according to TEAL’s Managing Director and CEO, NP Sridhar. In Hosur, the company has acquired 10 acres of land to support its expansion initiatives.
The projects are part of TEAL’s five-year capital expenditure plan worth ₹430 crore, which was announced at the Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2024. Of this, ₹200 crore is allocated for producing components used in wafer fab equipment for semiconductor manufacturing.
TEAL has projected revenue of ₹830 crore to ₹900 crore for the current financial year, a rise from the ₹761 crore reported in the previous year. The company aims for an annual growth rate of 20–25% in the coming years.
Established initially as an engineering team for Titan’s watch division, TEAL now provides manufacturing and automation solutions to various industries, including aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, and consumer products. The company specializes in high-precision component manufacturing and automation solutions.
At its Hosur facility, TEAL designs and tests modular assembly lines for clients, including industries such as aerospace and automotive. These lines are later dismantled and reinstalled at customer sites for production. TEAL exports turnkey assembly solutions to 19 countries and collaborates with seven global partners.
TEAL supplies high-precision components and sub-assemblies to aerospace and defense customers, with its products featured in aircraft manufactured by Boeing and Airbus, among others. It also provides components for sectors such as automotive and semiconductors. The company reports having over 150 clients globally and completing over 800 projects to date.
