Murata Electronics (India) Private Limited, a subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., has signed an agreement to lease a factory in an industrial park in India, with the handover scheduled for February 2025. The facility will focus on packaging and shipping multilayer ceramic capacitors, with full-scale operations planned for the 2026 fiscal year.

The leased factory, located in OneHub Chennai Industrial Park, Tamil Nadu, has a total floor area of 3,500 square meters. The initiative is intended to provide Murata with operational experience in India as it prepares for future manufacturing activities in the country.

Murata Electronics (India) Private Limited was established in September 2010 and is engaged in sales, marketing, and manufacturing of products from Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and its affiliated companies. As of October 1, 2024, the company has 90 employees and a share capital of 5 million INR.
