GH2 Solar, in partnership with South Korea’s Advanced Hydrogen Energy Solutions (AHES), will set up a green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing facility in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, with an initial capacity of 105 megawatts per year. The project involves an investment of INR 4 billion and is supported by a Production Linked Incentive subsidy of INR 1,575 million.

The factory, located in Piparsewa in Morena district, will also include a 3 gigawatt-hour battery energy storage system assembly line as part of the first phase of operations. GH2 Solar said capacity will be scaled up to 500 megawatts by 2030. The facility is expected to create more than 300 direct jobs in manufacturing, research, and operations, in addition to employment across logistics and supply chain roles.

UK-based Rhizome Energy is also supporting the project, focusing on sustainable design and localisation for Indian conditions.

The facility is planned to supply equipment for sectors such as steel, fertiliser, and refining, and is expected to support exports to Europe and East Asia. The project is being supported by Invest India and the Skill Council for Green Jobs.

GH2 Solar is a renewable energy company engaged in developing clean energy infrastructure projects, including hydrogen and battery storage systems.
