BRAR India, a subsidiary of Brar Elettromeccanica SpA, has opened a new production facility in Chhattisgarh, equipped with additional machinery and a large CNC machine. The company also confirmed that its headquarters and service area are nearing completion, marking the final stage of its current infrastructure expansion.
The facility is intended to increase capacity for supplying customised industrial electrical connections and components. The installation of new equipment, including the CNC machine, is part of efforts to strengthen production capabilities.
Alongside the new production site, the headquarters and service area are being developed to support operations and provide direct service to clients. These upgrades are intended to improve delivery timelines and meet demand from both domestic and international markets.
BRAR India manufactures and supplies high-current electrical components and flexible industrial connections, with its main operations based in Chhattisgarh. Its existing plant is equipped with machine tools, CNC machining units, welding shops, and a dedicated line for producing water-cooled cables, supporting customised production for local and regional markets.
The company’s product portfolio includes water-cooled cables, star lay and concentric lay cables, copper terminals, bimetallic arms combining copper and steel, power conducting arms, high-current connectors, and flexible electrical conductors. These products are supplied to sectors such as steel, ferroalloy, robotics, battery, and copper systems. BRAR India is a supplier to several steel plants and ferroalloy facilities, providing electrical connections and assemblies designed to support heavy industrial operations.
Founded in 2013 as the Indian subsidiary of Brar Elettromeccanica, the company focuses on manufacturing, maintenance, and customer service tailored to the Indian market. Its operations also support the parent group’s global network, contributing to project delivery and enabling cost-effective solutions in India and surrounding regions.
The company has supplied an arm assembly for a 610 mm electrode diameter to JSPL Raigarh and replaced conventional electrode arms with a new set of power conducting arms for the JSPL Angul LF furnace of 250 tonnes with a 508 mm electrode diameter. It has also received an “A” grade in Jindal Steel & Power’s vendor performance rating.
BRAR India operates in line with international safety and quality certifications that are maintained across the group. Its operations form part of Brar Elettromeccanica’s broader network, giving Indian industries access to electrical connection systems and electro-mechanical products suited for high-current and heavy industrial environments.
