Affordable Robotic and Automation Limited, a Pune-based manufacturer of industrial automation and robotics solutions, said it will supply six autonomous mobile robots to a leading US logistics and warehouse management company under a two-year lease. The order, announced on 6 November 2025, is valued at INR 41.3 million and follows prototype trials conducted at the client’s facilities over the past three months.

According to a press release issued by Affordable Robotic and Automation Limited, the initial deployment could lead to large-scale rollouts, with the client evaluating installations of between 47 and 50 mobile robots in each of two warehouses over the next two years. The robots are leased through ARAPL’s subsidiary ARAPL RaaS (Humro), which specialises in autonomous mobile robots for warehouses, manufacturing plants and logistics hubs.

“This order, following stringent approvals and successful prototype performance, not only opens new avenues for us but also reinforces our vision of positioning Make in India mobile robots on the global stage,” said Milind Padolee, Founder & Managing Director of Affordable Robotic and Automation Limited. The company said the robots supplied under the order are equipped with LiDAR-based navigation, real-time obstacle detection and precision control algorithms, and integrate with warehouse management systems and enterprise resource planning platforms.

The press release also disclosed a proposed investment of USD 8–10 million into Humro to accelerate growth in international markets, including an infusion of USD 3 million by Mr Padolee structured as an interest-free loan with an option to convert into equity. ARAPL described the move as part of a broader strategy to expand its presence in North American logistics automation and to scale its Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) offerings.

ARAPL positioned the deal as a milestone in its efforts to compete in a sector currently dominated by larger US and Chinese players and noted that Humro has four approved Make in India mobile robotics products in its portfolio. The company said the leased robots are engineered for round-the-clock operations and aimed at improving productivity while reducing operational costs.

Affordable Robotic and Automation Limited was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Pune. The company is publicly listed and provides turnkey automation solutions across industrial, automotive and logistics sectors.
