Bajaj Mobility AG continued cost optimisation and organisational restructuring measures during the 2025 fiscal year as part of a group-wide efficiency programme aimed at strengthening long-term competitiveness. The company, formerly known as Pierer Mobility AG, is the holding company of the KTM Group.
Bajaj Mobility AG expects consolidated revenue for fiscal year 2025 to be just over EUR 1 billion. This represents a decline of approximately 46 percent compared with the previous year and reflects the impact of lower sales volumes and restructuring actions during the period.
As part of portfolio rationalisation, Bajaj Mobility AG completed the closure of its bicycle division in 2025. Sales of e-bicycles and bicycles during the year amounted to 64,110 units, compared with 106,311 units in the previous year. The company had earlier divested its bicycle business through the sale of FELT Bicycles and exited other non-core activities, including the distribution of CFMOTO products and the sale of MV Agusta and X-Bow.
Following the completion of restructuring actions in 2025, the company initiated a global rightsizing programme. This includes a reduction of around 500 employees, mainly in white-collar functions and middle management. The total workforce stood at 3,794 employees as of 31 December 2025, compared with 5,310 employees a year earlier.
“This reduction in positions is a difficult but necessary decision to lower our costs, slim down structures, and thereby place the company on a stable footing for the long term,” said Gottfried Neumeister, Chief Executive Officer of KTM AG. “We are reducing complexity across all areas—for example in our model range, in IT, and also in the organization of our departments, particularly by removing one management layer.”
Motorcycle sales for the Bajaj Mobility Group in 2025 totalled 209,704 units, representing a year-on-year decline of 28 percent. Sales performance improved in the second half of the year, when the group sold 80,464 motorcycles directly, compared with 50,334 units in the first half. In addition, 43,956 motorcycles were sold in the second half through strategic partner Bajaj Auto.
According to a stock exchange filing by Bajaj Auto Limited, which received the information from its step-down subsidiary on 14 January 2026, the company reduced motorcycle inventory by more than 100,000 units during the year. Inventory stood at 147,427 units as of 31 December 2025, compared with 248,580 units a year earlier. The inventory reduction was described as a significant milestone in the restructuring of KTM operations and was supported by stronger demand in the second half of the year.
Bajaj Mobility AG stated that preliminary consolidated figures for the 2025 fiscal year will be published on 29 January 2026. The company operates motorcycle brands including KTM, Husqvarna and GASGAS, and also produces high-end components and vehicles with electric drivetrains.
