Sanmati Components Private Limited (SCPL) has expanded its machining capacity with the installation of a new AceMicromatic Group MCH-500L Horizontal Machining Centre (HMC) equipped with a continuous rotary table. The machine, installed at the company’s plant in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is intended to increase precision and reduce production lead times for components and assemblies.
According to SCPL, the equipment will enable the company to machine intricate parts with tight tolerances, improve production cycle times, and support higher volumes. “This investment strengthens our capabilities to meet evolving customer requirements quickly and accurately,” said Ajit Madake, Director at SCPL.
The new HMC features a 500×630mm work table with a maximum load capacity of 500kg, continuous rotary indexing at 1° x 360° for multi-face operations, and X, Y, Z axis travel of up to 800mm each. It includes a BT-40/HSK A63 spindle taper with speeds of up to 6,000rpm as standard and an optional 10,000rpm upgrade. The machine’s automatic tool changer accommodates 40 or 60 tools, while its pallet changer enables new part setups during ongoing machining. It has a positioning repeatability of ±6 / ±3 seconds and a weight of 12,000kg.
SCPL supplies machined components for industries including automotive, textile machinery, off-road and on-road vehicles, and earth-moving equipment.
Founded in 2012 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, SCPL began operations with two machines and has since expanded to employ more than 150 people. The company manufactures components from materials including cast iron, SG iron, steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. It operates a certified ISO 9001:2015 foundry division specialising in medium- to high-volume castings and uses the shell moulding process to achieve high dimensional accuracy. Its customer base includes MCIE, Rieter India, Cummins, JAAS Automotive, Emerson, and Devendra Auto.
