JK Fenner (India) Ltd, a Chennai-based manufacturer of power transmission components, marked its 70th anniversary on 2 September 2025. The company, part of JK Organisation, operates nine manufacturing plants, including five in Tamil Nadu, and has renewable energy assets of 9.75 MW. Its investments in Tamil Nadu are valued at over INR 70 billion, with more than 4,000 people employed in the state.
The company stated that it will roll out its 75 millionth belt from its automotive plant in Madurai. It operates three research and development centres with a team of over 120 specialists supporting clients such as John Deere, Timken, AutoZone and Dana.
“From one facility in Madurai, we now operate nine state-of-the-art plants, and tomorrow we will proudly roll out our 75 millionth belt from our Automotive plant in Madurai,” said Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman of JK Fenner (India) Ltd.
“Looking ahead, our focus will be on driving future mobility, advancing sustainability, and expanding our global footprint through innovation, digitalisation, and world-class engineering,” said Managing Director Vikrampati Singhania.
The company said about 70 percent of its energy requirements are met from renewable sources, and 91 percent of the water used at its plants is reused. Its corporate social responsibility programmes are active across six states and 18 districts in Tamil Nadu, with reported reach to over 10 lakh people.
Founded in 1955 and brought under JK Organisation’s management in 1987, JK Fenner has expanded from a single-product manufacturer of V-belts to a supplier of belt systems, sealing systems and fluid transmission solutions. Its products are used in automotive, agriculture, industrial machinery, construction, mining, railways, defence and electric mobility applications.
