Thermo Electric Company – Cotemp Sensing has expanded its temperature-sensor manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana, doubling production capacity to support increasing demand from industrial customers in India and neighbouring markets. The expanded unit strengthens the group’s manufacturing footprint in the region and is intended to enhance supply capabilities and response times across critical applications.
TE Thermo Electric Company India Private Limited, manufactures temperature-measurement solutions including thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors and customised mineral-insulated sensor assemblies. The facility supports sectors such as aerospace, nuclear, petrochemical processing, semiconductor fabrication and power generation. “With this expansion, we are doubling our production capacity in India, allowing us to better support our customers with the responsiveness, quality, and expertise they expect from Thermo Electric Company – COTEMP Sensing in India,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Lucq, President and Chief Executive Officer of COTEMP Sensing Group. “A major milestone as we continue strengthening our global presence and supporting the growing needs of our customers in India and its region,” he said.
Thierry Advocat, Nuclear Counselor of the French Embassy in Delhi, attended the opening ceremony during the expansion of the facility. His presence reflected ongoing engagement with industries supporting nuclear applications in India.
“This expansion is not just about infrastructure — it is about people, passion, and progress. Our new facilities reflect the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We are excited to unlock new possibilities and achieve greater heights at Thermo Electric Company – COTEMP Sensing,” said Himanshu Bakshi, Managing Director of TE Thermo Electric Company India Private Limited.
The Manesar site forms part of the group’s global production network across the United States, the United Kingdom, France and India. It functions as a regional base for engineering, calibration and the manufacture of sensor assemblies used in high-precision and safety-critical environments. The latest expansion follows earlier capacity additions as the company aligns its India operations with rising customer requirements.
COTEMP Sensing Group was formed in 2023 through the combination of Thermo Electric Company and Correge. The group provides temperature-sensor systems and calibration services for industrial and advanced-manufacturing applications, including thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, mineral-insulated cable assemblies and instrumented wafers.
