KETO Motors has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana to establish an electric bus manufacturing facility in Jadcherla. The agreement was concluded during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 at Bharat Future City.
The project involves an investment of INR 3 billion and will focus on producing nine-metre electric buses, with the company expecting to create more than 2,000 direct jobs within three years.
“The new facility at Jadcherla will allow us to expand production, build globally benchmarked electric buses, and contribute meaningfully to the state’s vision for sustainable transportation,” said Venkatesh Challa, Director at KETO Motors.
The Government of Telangana will facilitate statutory and regulatory approvals for the project through the TG-iPASS single-window system. The company noted that the new facility will support its expansion plans in the electric commercial mobility sector.
“Telangana continues to lead India’s transition to clean mobility by building a strong and future-ready electric vehicle ecosystem. The investment by KETO Motors in Jadcherla strengthens our EV value chain, boosts advanced manufacturing, and creates large-scale employment opportunities for our youth,” said D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Telangana.
The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 is described as a global leadership and innovation forum focused on the state’s industrial and development roadmap, and also included the release of the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision document.
