Oakter, the electronics manufacturing brand operated by Riot Labz Private Limited, has opened a new electronics manufacturing facility in Alwar, Rajasthan, expanding its production footprint beyond its long-established base in Noida. The addition marks a scale-up in manufacturing capacity as the company increases output across multiple electronics product categories.
Riot Labz Private Limited is an Indian electronics manufacturing company that began operations as a consumer internet-of-things hardware brand under the Oakter name. Over time, its business has shifted toward original design manufacturing and white-label production for enterprises and startups, alongside the sale of its own smart home and power management products.
Oakter has reported 55 percent year-on-year growth and has set a growth target of 75 percent for 2026. The company has stated that it operates on a cash-flow-positive basis and funds a significant share of its expansion through internal accruals. It is preparing for an initial public offering targeted for 2027.
Prior to the Alwar expansion, Oakter’s manufacturing operations were concentrated in Noida, where the company operates three factories covering a combined area of about 200,000 square feet. The Noida facilities include around 25 automated assembly lines and ship an estimated 500,000 to 1 million units per month across product categories. Manufacturing capabilities at the site include a Class 10,000 clean room, plastic moulding, and printed circuit board assembly using surface-mount technology lines.
The new Alwar facility represents an extension of this manufacturing base and provides additional space for industrial-scale expansion. Alwar, which lies within the broader National Capital Region, offers larger parcels of industrial land compared with Noida, enabling the setup of bigger assembly lines and expanded warehousing. Details on the size of the Alwar facility and capital expenditure have not been disclosed.
The facility is expected to support higher-volume production and deeper localisation of manufacturing processes. By expanding plastic moulding, electronics assembly, and related activities, the company is positioned to reduce dependence on external supply chains and support customers scaling hardware production from smaller batches to multi-million-unit volumes.
Oakter manufactures a range of electronics products for enterprise and consumer markets. Its output includes audio payment confirmation soundboxes used by digital payments companies, Wi-Fi routers and optical network terminals for network service providers, and smart home devices such as smart plugs, universal remotes, and electric vehicle chargers.
The company was founded in 2015 by IIT Delhi alumni Shishir Gupta, Varun Gupta, and Nithin K. David. Shishir Gupta serves as chief executive officer, while the other founders oversee engineering, manufacturing, and operational functions. The founding team has focused on building in-house manufacturing capabilities in India, moving from product design and prototyping to scaled production.
Riot Labz Private Limited operates manufacturing facilities in Noida and Alwar and supplies electronics products to enterprises, startups, and consumer markets under the Oakter brand and through contract manufacturing arrangements.
