Daikin India has inaugurated its third research and development centre in Neemrana, Rajasthan, with an investment of INR 5 billion. The facility spans approximately 24,000 square meters and is located adjacent to the company’s existing manufacturing plant in the region.

The new centre is expected to employ over 250 engineers and houses 22 testing laboratories. It will focus on developing products tailored for both domestic and international markets.

K J Jawa, Chairman and Managing Director of Daikin India, stated, “The R&D centre will look at building products that not just suit Indian consumers but will also focus on creating technologies which are sustainable and environmentally friendly for the global consumers.”

Srinivas Reddy, Vice President of R&D at Daikin India, added, “India is a critical market for us and the rationale behind setting up this R&D centre is to invest in technologies that suit Indian conditions and build products as per the demands of consumers.”

In addition to this facility, Daikin India operates two other R&D centres located in Hyderabad and Neemrana.

Daikin India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., a Japan-based multinational company specializing in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The company manufactures a wide range of HVACR products, including air conditioners, chillers, and air purifiers, catering to residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
