Daifuku Intralogistics India, a subsidiary of Japan-based Daifuku Co., Ltd., has launched a new manufacturing facility in Hyderabad with an investment of approximately INR 2.27 billion. The plant is expected to support the company’s operations in sectors such as e-commerce, retail, automotive, and pharmaceuticals.
The facility will create over 100 skilled jobs in its initial phase, according to the company. It is designed to manufacture intralogistics systems that support automation in warehousing and material handling. The new unit is part of the company’s strategy to expand local production and scale operations for domestic and regional markets.
Hiroshi Geshiro, CEO of Daifuku Co., Ltd., stated that the plant aligns with the company’s aim to build capabilities within India and contribute to logistics infrastructure. Asim Behera, CEO of Daifuku Intralogistics India, said, “We are committed to delivering scalable, future-ready intralogistics solutions and driving sustainable growth.”
The company indicated plans for further investment in research and development, technical collaborations, and environmentally sustainable automation technologies.
