RIX Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of fluid control and industrial equipment, is establishing a manufacturing facility in Karnataka through its subsidiary, RIX India Manufacturing Private Limited. The plant is located within the Japan Industrial Township (JIT) in the Vasantha Narasapura Industrial Area, near Bengaluru, which is recognized as a hub for automotive manufacturing.

The Indian subsidiary was incorporated in December 2023 with a capital investment of INR 370 million. It is 99 percent owned by RIX Corporation and 1 percent by RIX India Trading & Service Pvt. Ltd.

The facility will produce rotary joints and oil skimmers—components used in machine tools and automotive assembly lines. Rotary joints allow for the transfer of fluids such as coolants or hydraulic oil into rotating equipment, while oil skimmers remove tramp oil from coolant tanks in industrial systems. These products cater to sectors such as automotive manufacturing and component production.

RIX Corporation President Takashi Yasui recently met with Ramkumar Chakravarty, the Consul General of India in Japan, during a visit focused on reviewing the company’s expansion in India. Yasui presented the company’s product portfolio and discussed business plans for the Indian market.

The Karnataka plant will be RIX’s second operational base in India, following its sales office in Mumbai. According to the company, the facility is intended to customize products for Indian customers, reduce delivery lead times, and improve cost competitiveness. It is also expected to support potential regional expansion.

RIX noted that the plant will contribute to India’s local manufacturing ecosystem and provide components for the country’s automotive sector. The company has also indicated that environmental adaptation and sustainability are part of its long-term operational objectives.
