Garuda Aerospace has raised approximately INR 1 billion in a series B funding round led by Venture Catalysts. The company stated that the investment will support the scaling of its drone production capabilities and the development of an R&D and testing centre focused on advanced defence drone systems.

According to Garuda Aerospace, the funding was secured at a valuation of USD 250 million. A portion of the funds will be used to expand the company’s intellectual property portfolio, which currently includes over 20 patents, and to establish a new drone design facility.

“This series B funding not only strengthens our capacity to scale manufacturing and innovation but also positions us to accelerate the development of next-generation drone technology,” said Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace.

Venture Catalysts Co-founder and Managing Director Apoorva Ranjan Sharma stated, “This investment is closely aligned with our strategy of supporting homegrown champions that have the potential to transform India’s technological landscape and create significant socio-economic impact.”

Garuda Aerospace operates in multiple segments including drone manufacturing, drone-as-a-service (DaaS), and pilot training. Its clientele includes government agencies, agriculture-based businesses, infrastructure firms, and defence-related organisations.
