LNK Energy Private Limited, a newly launched integrated clean energy platform, has announced a planned investment of INR 100 billion over the next five years to build capabilities across advanced manufacturing, green fuels and renewable energy generation in India. The company said the investments are aimed at supporting India’s clean energy transition and long-term energy security.
As its first major initiative, LNK Energy will develop a 6 gigawatt solar cell and module manufacturing facility with integrated ingot and wafer production at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra. The project will be spread across more than 60 acres and will manufacture high-efficiency solar cells and modules using advanced technologies and global quality standards. The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Maharashtra for setting up the facility.
The company said the integrated manufacturing complex is intended to strengthen domestic supply chains in solar manufacturing and reduce dependence on imports across critical stages of the value chain, including ingots, wafers, cells and modules. Further details on project timelines and commissioning schedules were not disclosed.
LNK Energy has been co-founded by Paritosh Ladhani, Joint Managing Director of SLMG Beverages; Dr. Kushagra Nandan, Co-Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of REnergy Dynamics and former Co-Founder and Managing Director of SunSource Energy; and Varun Karad, BioEnergy entrepreneur and Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of REnergy Dynamics. The founding team brings experience spanning large-scale manufacturing, renewable energy development and capital deployment.
“The company will bring scale, quality and execution discipline to clean energy manufacturing, with a strong commitment to global standards,” said Paritosh Ladhani, Co-Founder of LNK Energy.
Dr. Kushagra Nandan said LNK Energy has been conceived as a long-term institution aligned with national priorities related to energy security, industrial self-reliance and decarbonisation. Varun Karad said, “The company’s integrated approach across manufacturing, green fuels and renewable power is designed to deliver reliable, scalable and sustainable energy solutions for India’s economy.”
The company’s strategy includes end-to-end participation across the energy value chain, combining backward integration, future-ready technologies and long-term capital allocation. In addition to solar cells and modules, LNK Energy plans to expand into manufacturing adjacent components such as junction boxes, battery platforms and energy storage systems.
Beyond manufacturing, LNK Energy said it intends to enter green fuels, with a focus on green hydrogen to support decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors. The company also plans to build a renewable power generation portfolio as an independent power producer and through hybrid open-access models integrating solar, storage and other renewable energy sources.
LNK Energy Private Limited is an integrated clean energy company focused on manufacturing, green fuels and renewable power generation, with operations planned across multiple segments of India’s clean energy value chain.
