GE Vernova has commenced operations at its new manufacturing facility in Pune, aimed at advancing the production and assembly of wind turbines to support India’s renewable energy transition.
The Pune facility focuses on manufacturing key wind turbine components such as nacelles, hubs, and blades, as well as assembling complete turbines for both onshore and offshore projects. It also plays a role in managing the supply chain for turbine components, ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, the facility contributes to research and development efforts to improve wind turbine technology. GE Vernova has invested over ₹240 crore to expand and upgrade this site, reinforcing its commitment to renewable energy solutions.
This initiative is part of GE Vernova’s broader presence in India, which includes a Technology Center in Bengaluru focused on product design and contributions across the power supply chain, from generation to transmission and distribution.
