Sila Australia has announced plans to establish an assembly unit in India, with full-scale production expected to commence in the first quarter of 2025. According to the company, this expansion is aimed at enhancing production capabilities to serve the Indian and nearby markets more effectively.

The new facility will focus solely on assembly operations. Sila stated that all materials and technology required for production will be sourced from its headquarters in Australia, ensuring consistency in standards, warranties, and quality controls. The facility will operate under the governance of Sila’s Technical Centre of Excellence, which oversees engineering, design, and quality assurance processes.

Key benefits cited in the company’s statement include improved delivery times and competitive pricing for high-performance products. The Indian unit is expected to enable increased manufacturing capacity, which will help reduce lead times.

Sila emphasized that the move aligns with its broader strategy of improving efficiency and operational success in the region.
