Jyoti Global Plast Limited, a manufacturer of precision plastic and composite moulded products, today launched the AeroCrop agricultural unmanned aerial system (UAS) in Mumbai on 3 December 2025. The platform is positioned for precision spraying, aimed at reducing chemical wastage, improving operator safety and increasing field productivity for farmers transitioning to mechanised applications.

According to a press release issued by Jyoti Global Plast, the AeroCrop delivers up to 29 minutes of flight time without payload and 22 minutes with payload, and has a maximum take-off weight of 27.5 kilogram with a 10 litre chemical tank. The company said the aircraft uses flat jet and centrifugal nozzles to ensure consistent droplet quality and can cover one acre in five to eight minutes, enabling operators to spray up to 30 acres in a single day while maintaining uniform coverage across varied terrain.

The AeroCrop is fitted with an intelligent radar-based navigation system that maintains constant height, follows terrain profiles, detects obstacles and supports autonomous mission execution, the company said. The design emphasises reliability in field conditions and simplified operation to make precision spraying more predictable and accessible to farmers who already use drone spraying as well as those adopting mechanised methods for the first time.

“AeroCrop is a direct extension of our manufacturing philosophy, which has always centered on dependable performance and practical design. We believe this drone will help farmers adopt precision spraying easily and safely,” said Deven Shah, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer of Jyoti Global Plast. The company said the platform reflects its engineering and manufacturing experience developed over more than four decades.

The launch follows earlier entries by the company into the unmanned systems category, including a surveillance drone with thermal and visual cameras and an industrial cleaning drone line for high-pressure cleaning of facades and solar installations; Jyoti Global Plast has recorded a commercial order for the cleaning system from a solar engineering, procurement and construction firm, the release noted.

Jyoti Global Plast Limited is headquartered in Navi Mumbai and operates four production facilities in Maharashtra offering blow moulding, injection moulding and automated production capabilities. Founded in 1990, the company serves packaging, automotive, electronics, consumer goods, defence and aerospace sectors and recently completed an initial public offering as it expands into defence and aerospace manufacturing.
