Astra Rafael Comsys Private Limited, a joint venture of Astra Microwave Products Limited, has received an order valued at Rs. 255.88 crore from the Ministry of Defence. The contract involves the delivery of 93 additional sets of Software Defined Radios (SDR) LRUs with A kits, SBC 2 cards, and Network Centric Operations applications for Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft used by the Indian Air Force.

The contract specifies that the order must be fulfilled within 24 months. Astra Microwave confirmed that the order is not classified as a related party transaction, and neither the promoters nor group companies have any direct interest in the awarding entity.

Astra Rafael Comsys (ARC), a joint venture between Astra Microwave Products Ltd. and Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., operates a 48,000 sq. ft. facility in Hyderabad’s Hardware Tech-Park. The facility specializes in manufacturing advanced tactical communication systems, including Software Defined Radios (SDR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) systems. ARC focuses on the indigenous development, production, and integration of cutting-edge digital communication technologies, such as SDR, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), and Cognitive Radio technology.
