Azad India Mobility has announced the provisional allotment of a 70.71-acre industrial plot in Andhra Pradesh to establish a manufacturing facility for electric vehicles (EVs). The allotment, facilitated by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), includes an initial allocation of 36 acres for Phase-I, with reservations of 26 acres for Phase-II and 8.71 acres for Phase-III. The land is located in the UDL-5 Gudipalli APIIC layout in Sri Sathya Sai district.
The facility will focus on producing electric three-wheelers, trucks, and buses. This project is part of the company’s strategy to enhance production capacity and meet the increasing demand for sustainable mobility solutions. According to a press release, the land allotment will enable Azad India Mobility to advance its business goals in the growing EV sector.
The investment aligns with broader trends in the Indian EV market, which has seen significant growth driven by consumer demand and government policies promoting clean energy and green transportation. The manufacturing facility is expected to create job opportunities in the region and support efforts to transition to low-carbon transportation options.
