Poshs Metal Industries has secured USD 5 million in a funding round led by Aavishkaar Capital. The funds will be used to establish a new flat steel processing facility in Aurangabad, aimed at increasing the company’s production capacity for its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) clients.
Poshs Metal, founded by Ashok Kapoor, operates as a steel service center focused on automotive-grade flat steel. The company has an ongoing 25-year partnership with Tata Steel for processing and distribution in Western India. Its client base includes automotive manufacturers such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Volkswagen, and Volvo.
The company provides steel blank customization, scrap processing, and in-house packaging services. It has also introduced a steel pallet system intended to replace traditional wooden pallets.
This funding round marks the seventh investment from Aavishkaar Capital’s USD 220 million global supply chain fund, which targets small and medium enterprises in Asia and Africa.
