Bestomech Industries, a Coimbatore-based precision manufacturer, has set out plans for the next phase of its growth, focusing on global expansion, customer co-development, smart manufacturing, sustainability, and employee development. The company made the announcement while marking 20 years since the opening of its 10,000 square foot headquarters and Unit 1 facility in 2005.

The company, founded in 1984 by Rajendran Narayansamy and Jayachandran N, began in a 200 square foot workshop before expanding to 1,400 square feet across three units by the early 2000s. The move into a consolidated one-acre site in 2005, along with the purchase of its first CNC machine, was described by the company as a decisive shift from conventional machining to advanced processes.

The following decade was characterised by investments in VMCs, HMCs and 5-axis machines, as well as the addition of gear cutting capabilities in 2012. These developments broadened the company’s reach and enabled it to begin exports. From 2020 onwards, Bestomech increased its manufacturing footprint to more than 100,000 square feet across three units and expanded its workforce to over 170 employees.

Looking ahead, the company said it would intensify its focus on international markets by strengthening exports and building new strategic partnerships. It also plans to co-create solutions with OEM customers, adopt automation and Industry 4.0 technologies, and pursue cleaner production methods.

The company highlighted employee development as a priority, with an emphasis on equipping its workforce to adapt to digital manufacturing and leadership roles. Sustainability measures are also expected to play a larger role, with plans to integrate greener practices into operations.

From its origins as a micro-industry workshop, Bestomech has grown into a precision manufacturer serving both domestic and international markets. Its leadership views the next phase as an opportunity to build on its established base of technology investments and scale.

Bestomech Industries was formally established in 1991 and has since developed as a manufacturer of precision-machined parts and transmission pulleys for general engineering, off-road, transmission, and agricultural industries.

The company operates two manufacturing facilities in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, with a total area of over 100,000 square feet, including 40,000 square feet of covered space. Its processes are certified under ISO 9001:2015 and make use of 5S, Lean, and cell manufacturing concepts.

Bestomech produces castings, forgings, aluminium precision-machined components, and bar stock components. It also develops parts based on customer specifications and drawings, and provides design solutions aimed at improving product performance and quality.

The company supplies both domestic and international OEMs and continues to invest in expanding its capabilities in precision manufacturing.
