BNC Motors has inaugurated a 250,000-square-foot electric two-wheeler manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The new facility is designed to produce up to 15,000 vehicles per month, addressing both domestic and export markets.
The plant includes in-house production capabilities for batteries, electronics, and fabrication, which the company states will support a high level of vertical integration.
CEO Anirudh Ravi Narayanan highlighted the expanded production capabilities of the facility, stating that it offers 10 times the capacity of the company’s previous factory. He noted that the new plant was completed in three months and provides sufficient capacity to meet short-term demand forecasts.
The company has indicated that over one-third of the new facility’s capacity will focus on exports. Additionally, BNC Motors plans to launch multiple new vehicles this year, including an electric scooter and motorcycle.
The expansion is expected to generate new employment opportunities and benefit the local supplier ecosystem in Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu.
