A new 30,000 square foot museum dedicated to science and technology has been inaugurated at the PSG iTech campus in Neelambur, Coimbatore. The PSG GRD Museum of Science & Technology spans three floors and includes galleries focused on mobility, space and astronomy, robotics and artificial intelligence, and virtual reality.

The museum was established in collaboration with PSG & Sons’ Charities and funded by contributions from PSG Tech alumni. It is named in memory of G.R. Damodaran.

The inauguration event on April 24, 2025, was attended by Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCLTech, and C. Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG & Sons’ Charities, presided over the function.

PSG & Sons’ Charities is a Coimbatore-based trust established in 1926, known for its involvement in education, healthcare, and industry-focused initiatives. The organization manages a range of institutions, including engineering colleges, schools, hospitals, and research centers. It has played a role in supporting technical education and vocational training in the region, often collaborating with industry and alumni to develop infrastructure and academic programs.

PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech) is an engineering institution located in Neelambur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Established in 2014 by PSG & Sons’ Charities, the institute is affiliated with Anna University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The 40-acre campus accommodates over 1,000 students and more than 80 faculty members.
