EKKI is set to launch a new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, designed to integrate multiple operations, including its KOOT Advanced Components Unit, KKV Labs for engineering and design, quantum testing and quality control facilities, and the EKKI Academy. The facility will focus on producing high-precision pumps, systems, and components for global markets.
The facility will incorporate EKKI’s Smart Production System, integrating machines and workstations to streamline manufacturing processes. The EKKI Academy will support workforce training and upskilling to align with the facility’s advanced production environment. The company also plans to increase women’s participation at all levels of the organization.
Arumugam P, Chief Executive of EKKI, highlighted the company’s ambition: “To build world-class products, one needs world-class factories and people.” Kanishka Arumugam, Co-CEO of EKKI, described the project as “more than just a manufacturing unit – it is a machine that builds machines.”
The facility’s design includes sustainability measures such as solar energy utilization, water conservation, and circular economy principles aimed at reducing environmental impact.
EKKI operates four production facilities and has an international joint venture with Germany-based HOMA. Its products are exported to over 25 countries. The company has expanded its manufacturing capabilities since acquiring the assets of Deccan Industries in 2013.
