Jainik Power Cables Limited will inaugurate a new cable manufacturing plant on 23 January 2026 at the Jhundpur Industrial Area in Sonipat, Haryana. The facility is intended to expand the company’s manufacturing capacity and support its medium-term growth plans in the power cables segment.

The Sonipat facility has an installed production capacity of up to 12,000 tonnes per annum. At optimum utilisation, the company expects the plant to generate additional revenue of up to INR 400 crore per year. The capacity expansion is intended to improve production scale and support more predictable delivery timelines.

The plant will manufacture Low Tension (LT) Power Cables and Aerial Bunched (AB) Cables with sizes of up to 150 square millimetres. These products are used across power distribution networks, industrial infrastructure, residential developments, and rural electrification projects. The company said LT power cables are associated with demand from urbanisation and industrial activity, while AB cables are increasingly used for safety, lower power losses, reduced theft, and suitability for congested or high-risk areas.

“This facility strengthens our manufacturing base and positions us for the next phase of growth,” said Shashank Jain, Managing Director of Jainik Power Cables Limited. “With an annual capacity of 12,000 tonnes and an expected revenue potential of up to INR 400 crore, we are well prepared to meet rising domestic demand,” he said, adding that the company plans to enter export markets, including African and Middle Eastern countries.

The plant has been set up on land owned by the company and is equipped with modern machinery sourced from established equipment manufacturers. The commissioning of the facility is expected to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and improve operational efficiency as the company addresses increasing demand for power cables in domestic and overseas markets.

The company stated that the new plant is expected to support consistent product quality and improve service levels for customers across multiple sectors. It also aligns with the company’s longer-term objective of expanding domestic manufacturing while contributing to power infrastructure development in India and overseas markets.

Jainik Power Cables Limited manufactures power cables for use in electricity distribution and infrastructure applications and operates manufacturing facilities in India. The manufacturing unit is located at Khasra No. 13/2, Jhundpur Industrial Area, Sonipat, Haryana, and marks an addition to the company’s production infrastructure.
