Simplex Castings Limited said it has secured a fabrication order valued at INR 225 million from Gaja Engineering Private Limited, strengthening its domestic order book and adding to its portfolio of large-scale structural fabrication projects. The order involves fabrication and blasting of structural components and is scheduled to be executed within 24 months from the date of issuance of the work or purchase order.

The scope of work covers the fabrication and blasting of about 2,500 metric tonnes of structural components. These include built-up beams, gussets, drilled components, rolled sections, girders and box columns, which are typically used in infrastructure and industrial applications.

The company said the order adds medium-term execution visibility for its fabrication operations and supports the expansion of its domestic project pipeline. The work will be undertaken at its facilities in Chhattisgarh, where the company operates heavy engineering and fabrication plants.

Commenting on the development, Ketan Shah, promoter, chairman and executive director of Simplex Castings Limited, said: “This order is a meaningful addition to our current order book and further strengthens our project pipeline.” He added that the company remains focused on disciplined project execution, with emphasis on timely delivery, consistent quality standards, and adherence to safety and operational processes across projects.

Shah also said the company plans to continue bidding for similar fabrication contracts as it scales its presence across multiple sectors. “Our teams are committed to ensuring that each order is executed in line with agreed timelines while maintaining the reliability that our customers expect from us,” he said.

The company did not disclose the end-use project or the financial margins associated with the order. It also did not provide any revenue guidance linked to the execution of the contract.

Simplex Castings Limited is engaged in precision metallurgy and operates manufacturing facilities that include cast iron foundries and heavy engineering and fabrication plants. The company also has machining capabilities and an engineering, procurement and construction division that undertakes turnkey projects.
