Ramkrishna Forgings Limited has commenced commercial production from an 8,000-ton hot forging press line at its Plant V manufacturing facility in Baliguma, Saraikela-Kharswan district, Jharkhand. The line adds an installed forging capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum and became operational on 06 March 2026.
The company said that the addition increases its total forging production capacity, including aluminium forging, to 311,400 tonnes per annum. The capacity expansion forms part of the company’s manufacturing operations at Plant V.
Prior to the expansion, Ramkrishna Forgings reported existing forging capacity of 268,400 tonnes per annum across hot, warm and cold forging operations. The company’s capacity utilisation stood at 73.20 percent as of 31 December 2025.
The investment required for the new press line was INR 800 million. The company said the project was financed through a mix of debt and internal accruals.
The 8,000-ton press line is intended to increase the company’s hot forging output by 40,000 tonnes per annum.
