MIC Electronics Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore-based Top2 PTE Ltd to identify and finalise a semiconductor fabrication partner from Taiwan. The companies plan to explore the feasibility of starting semiconductor wafer production in India with a proposed monthly capacity of 25,000 to 30,000 wafers, subject to negotiations and regulatory approvals.
Alongside this initiative, MIC Electronics has secured new Letters of Award valued at INR 17.6 million from Indian Railways. The contracts include INR 11.97 million for the Sambalpur Division for coach board and announcement systems and INR 5.64 million from ICF Chennai for LED emergency lights.
