Time Technoplast Limited announced that its subsidiary, PowerBuild Batteries Private Limited, has entered into a business collaboration and exclusive distribution agreement with Monbat AD, a company listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia. The agreement establishes a multi-year commercial collaboration to distribute advanced battery solutions in India.

Under the arrangement, PowerBuild will exclusively distribute maintenance-free, advanced Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) stationary and reserve power battery solutions from Monbat in India. The products will cater to requirements from data centres, IT infrastructure, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) institutions, and other mission-critical industrial applications.

The filing cited industry estimates indicating that India’s current data centre capacity of approximately 1.2–1.5 GW is expected to expand by an additional 3.0–3.5 GW over the next seven to 10 years. This growth is supported by cumulative investments of INR 2.3–2.5 trillion, based on an ICRA report on data centres from September 2025. It also noted sustained demand from the BFSI sector’s expanding digital and disaster recovery infrastructure for high-reliability reserve power systems.

Based on internal estimates, the company projects that these segments together could create a market opportunity for advanced VRLA batteries of approximately INR 35–40 billion over the next decade. The collaboration is intended to strengthen domestic distribution and supply-chain infrastructure and enhance service network capabilities for advanced battery solutions in India.

Through the agreement, PowerBuild will gain access to Monbat’s portfolio of Eurobat-compliant batteries engineered for mission-critical environments, including hyperscale and colocation data centres, financial data rooms, and disaster recovery facilities. PowerBuild will also provide pan-India technical support, including installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
