A two-day event, Defence Partnership Days, will be held on November 28-29, 2024, in New Delhi, bringing together representatives from India’s Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence, and the private sector. The event is organized by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies and Indian Military Review and aims to facilitate interactions through targeted business-to-government (B2G) and business-to-business (B2B) meetings.

The event will be inaugurated by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary for Defence Production. According to the organizers, over 200 companies and 100 Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces officials, including those from organizations like DRDO and the Coast Guard, are expected to participate.

An exhibition featuring 75 companies will also be part of the event, showcasing products and technologies relevant to defense modernization and procurement. Attendees will include representatives from prime contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, MSMEs, startups, and investors.

The event is structured to address key procurement processes such as indigenization, Make-I and Make-II initiatives, import substitution, and responses to problem statements issued by the Armed Forces. It will also provide opportunities for businesses to engage with government representatives on technical and operational requirements such as GSQRs, RFIs, RFPs, and design and development solutions.

The initiative is intended to support efforts to strengthen the Armed Forces’ capabilities while facilitating industry growth in the defense sector.
