Yudo India, a subsidiary of South Korea-based Yudo Group, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Maharashtra with a two-phase plan aimed at enhancing local production and supply chain efficiency in the injection moulding sector. The company will establish a new hot runner system manufacturing facility in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and increase its warehousing capacity.

This initiative follows Yudo India’s reported 18-20 percent year-on-year growth and aligns with projections that India’s plastics industry could reach USD 100 billion by 2027. The expansion is expected to reduce reliance on imports and cater to the increasing demand for injection moulding systems in India.

Yudo Hot Runner India Pvt. Ltd., established in 2000, currently operates a facility in Vasai, Maharashtra, specializing in hot runner systems and related components for plastic injection moulding. The company offers a range of products, including precision nozzles and temperature controllers, serving various industries.

In addition to its manufacturing expansion, Yudo India has introduced sustainable solutions in its production processes. The company focuses on using alternative manufacturing methods to reduce environmental impact, enabling the use of recycled plastics and the production of lightweight plastic parts, particularly in the automotive and packaging sectors.

According to the company, the expansion and sustainability initiatives are intended to strengthen Yudo India’s position in the market and contribute to the growth of the country’s plastics industry.
