RENOLIT has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in Pune, India, dedicated to producing geomembranes for civil engineering applications. The company aims to commence production by April 2026.

The proposed facility is intended to supply geomembranes primarily for renewable energy infrastructure projects, including pumped storage systems that are part of integrated renewable energy storage initiatives. These systems require significant quantities of waterproof geomembranes, which the new plant will manufacture.

The project is being developed in partnership with Carpi Tech, a Swiss company specializing in the waterproofing of hydraulic structures. Carpi Tech has a history of involvement in various international projects, including the waterproofing of dams and canals.

RENOLIT is a manufacturer of plastic films and related products for various technical applications. The company operates across multiple global markets, including construction, automotive, and healthcare.
