Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems has opened a Smart Factory Innovation Centre in Pune. The facility is intended to function as a technology hub for automation and manufacturing solutions for industries including automotive, aerospace, electronics, and heavy machinery.
According to the company, the centre features demonstrations of automated tightening and dispensing technologies, software-driven systems for quality control, and integrated error-proofing solutions. These technologies are aimed at improving manufacturing precision, productivity, and process optimization.
The facility enables businesses to test and explore smart manufacturing tools within a controlled environment. It is designed to support adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies by offering solutions that allow flexibility in production and data-driven decision-making.
Chandrashekhar Pathak, General Manager, Industrial Technique, Atlas Copco India Pvt. Ltd., said: “The Innovation Centre is not just about showcasing cutting-edge solutions; it’s about fostering a future where businesses from diverse industries come together, explore new technologies, and drive growth through collaboration.”
Atlas Copco Group reported revenues of BSEK 177 in 2024 and employs approximately 55,000 people globally. The company has operated in India since 1960 and, as of March 31, 2024, employed over 3,000 people in the country with revenues of about INR 47 billion.
