Sandvik has appointed Anil Ghegade as Managing Director of its newly established Innovation Hub in Pune, Maharashtra. Ghegade brings experience in operations, business strategy, and R&D, having previously worked in leadership roles across the U.S. and Asia-Pacific in sectors including industrial products and off-highway machinery.
Sandvik stated that Ghegade has been involved in setting up and scaling innovation centers both within India and internationally. “Anil joins us with a wealth of global experience… a powerful combination that aligns perfectly with our mission to drive innovation and future-focused solutions,” the company said in a statement.
Sandvik is a Sweden-based engineering company specializing in manufacturing equipment and tools for the mining and construction industries, as well as advanced materials technology. The company operates across multiple business areas, including machining solutions, mining and rock solutions, and materials technology. Sandvik has a global presence with manufacturing units, R&D centers, and sales offices in various regions, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
