On April 24, 2025, Brakes India Ltd. opened its new Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) facility in Chennai, further expanding its collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chennai. This development follows an existing memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two entities, aiming to strengthen their partnership in industrial training and technical initiatives.

During the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Usha Natesan, Director of NITTTR Chennai, toured the Brakes India Technical Training Centre, which is designed to support training programs related to the latest advancements in manufacturing and technology. The IIoT facility is part of Brakes India’s ongoing efforts to enhance its manufacturing capabilities by integrating advanced technologies.
