The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) has announced the appointment of Ruchir Dixit as its new Chairperson for the fiscal year 2025–26. Alongside, six new members have joined the Executive Council: Akshay Aggarwal (MediaTek), Hemang Shah (Applied Materials), Pradeep Vajram (Seven Rays), Raghu Panicker (Kaynes Semicon Private Limited), Sundeep Gupta (Alphawave Semi), and Vivek Tyagi (Analog Devices).
Separately, Amitesh Kumar Sinha on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the India Semiconductor Mission. Sinha, an officer of the Indian Railway Accounts Service, has previously served as Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, where he was involved in programs including the Semiconductor and Display Manufacturing Programme and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Schemes.
Continuing members of the IESA Executive Council include Navin Bishnoi (Vice Chairman), Rajeev Khushu, Sanjeev Keskar (Treasurer), Veerappan VV (Advisor), and Ashok Chandak (President). The announcement was made during the IESA Annual Members Meeting held in Bengaluru, which was attended by over 200 participants, including representatives from the government and industry.
Ruchir Dixit, currently Vice President and Country Manager at Siemens EDA India, brings over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and electronic design automation sectors. His leadership experience is expected to contribute to IESA’s ongoing focus on electronics and semiconductor design-led manufacturing initiatives.
The event featured keynote addresses from S Krishnan, Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and guest speakers including Ajit Manocha (CEO & President, SEMI), S.K. Bache Gowda (Chairman, KEONICS), and Rao Tummala (Advisor, India Semiconductor Mission and Professor Emeritus, GeorgiaTech, USA), who shared perspectives on the electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) sector’s growth and future development.
