KASFAB Tools, a subsidiary of KAS Group under UHP Technologies and KASTECH Equipment, has launched a semiconductor equipment manufacturing facility in Doddaballapur, Karnataka. The facility spans 20,000 square feet and is designed to cater to global semiconductor industry clients.
According to a press release issued by the company, the facility includes Class 10 and Class 100 cleanrooms, high-precision welding for plastics and metals, component fabrication, and ultrasound-aided cleaning using deionized (DI) water. The company stated that the facility is equipped to support comprehensive testing and validation of semiconductor manufacturing components.
The inauguration event was attended by industry representatives, including Suraj Rengarajan, Head of the Semiconductor Products Group at Applied Materials India; Ankineedu Velaga, Senior Vice President and Country Head of Yield Engineering Systems India; and Srinivasan Raghavan, Chairman of the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE).
KASFAB Tools stated that the facility is intended to support the growing semiconductor manufacturing sector by supplying equipment to international customers.
