Americhem, Inc. has opened a research and development center in Silvassa, India, to enhance its testing and support services for customers in India and Southeast Asia. The 4,000-square-foot facility, located at Olive Industrial Park, will focus on masterbatch color development for melt spinning and textile manufacturing.
According to the company’s announcement, the facility will provide technical and field services, including custom color matching and faster response times. The site is expected to facilitate real-time communication and approvals for customers, aiming to improve supply chain efficiency.
The center will be led by Sandeep Bhamare, Head of R&D – Fibers for Americhem India, who will coordinate operations between the new facility and Americhem’s Pune site. Toshan Simaiya, Operations Director for India, stated that the lab’s proximity to customers would support faster color development and more efficient service.
Americhem began operations at the facility in late 2024. It is located 5 km from Bhilad Highway NH-48, with planned access to the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway. The company stated that this investment is part of its strategy to expand its capabilities in the region.
Americhem operates 10 manufacturing plants and has sales offices worldwide.
