The Timken Company has announced plans to expand its manufacturing operations in Bharuch, Gujarat, India, with a new facility adjacent to its existing tapered roller plant. The new plant will produce spherical and cylindrical roller bearings to meet increasing customer demand.
The facility, scheduled to open later this year, will focus on industrial bearing production, with applications in gear drives, pumps and compressors, off-highway equipment, and heavy machinery, among other sectors. The company aims to enhance production efficiency and customer service through automation and a strategic supply chain.
As part of its sustainability efforts, the new plant will feature rooftop solar panels and a wastewater management system designed for zero liquid discharge. According to Tarak Mehta, President and CEO of The Timken Company, this expansion aligns with Timken’s broader strategy to capitalize on growth opportunities in the industrial sector.
