Orbit Bearings was established in 1990 in Rajkot, Gujarat, India as a family-owned business. The company manufactures taper and cylindrical roller bearings for automotive and industrial applications, supplying to OEM customers involved in the production of trucks, truck trailers, agricultural tractors, transmissions, engines, compressors, and industrial gearboxes. Its customers are located across the USA, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
In 2000, Orbit invested in the modernization of its manufacturing processes, including the installation of automatic manufacturing lines with updated technology at its new plant at GIDC Metoda. In 2007, Orbit initiated the production of advanced HUB bearings to support greater life cycle cost savings for customers. The company was the first Indian manufacturer to supply HUB bearings to various European truck trailer manufacturers.
