Mahindra Aerostructures has signed a contract with Airbus to manufacture complete fuselage assemblies for the H130 light helicopter. The first delivery under this agreement is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
The production will take place at Mahindra Aerostructures’ facility in India. The H130 is a single-engine helicopter used in civil aviation sectors including passenger transport, medical services, and tourism.
The contract was signed during an event in New Delhi attended by Airbus representatives and government officials. Rémi Maillard, President and Managing Director of Airbus India and South Asia, stated, “Airbus will continue to invest in India as we scale up our industrial footprint.”
Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu, also present at the event, said, “India is destined to become a global aviation hub,” and emphasized the importance of manufacturing partnerships in building domestic capabilities.
Mahindra Aerostructures is a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra and supplies aerospace parts and assemblies to manufacturers including Airbus, Boeing, and Safran. Its capabilities include sheet metal fabrication, machining, and structural assembly.
