BEML Ltd. held its first research and development conference at the Futuristic Product Innovation and Incubation Centre (FPIIC), located at the KGF complex. The event focused on manufacturing-related innovation, strategic investments, and emerging technology trends relevant to industrial and defence production.

The conference included over ten presentations by consultants, technical experts, and BEML teams from facilities in Palakkad, Mysore, Bengaluru, and KGF. According to a press release issued by the company, the event was designed to foster discussion on manufacturing-related R&D themes such as digital transformation, sustainable production solutions, and customer-focused innovation strategies.

BEML Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy and other company directors attended the event. As part of the conference, BEML also launched the first edition of Tech Horizon, its R&D-focused newsletter.

The company described the conference theme as “Innovation in an Era of Disruption,” and noted that the discussions aimed to address the role of R&D in building manufacturing capabilities that respond to shifting global conditions.

The conference was hosted jointly by FPIIC and BEML’s KGF operations, as part of the company’s broader internal engagement on R&D and product development.
