Mahindra Logistics Ltd. (MLL) has announced the appointment of Hemant Sikka as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 5, 2025. Sikka’s appointment follows the resignation of Ram Swaminathan, who will step down on July 20, 2025. Veejay Nakra will replace Sikka as President of the Farm Equipment Business, and R Velusamy will take over as President of the Automotive Business, integrating both SUV and LCV segments under a single leadership role.

MLL, a provider of integrated logistics services, has reported a doubling of its revenue over the past four years. The company expanded operations during this period into cross-border, express, and last-mile segments, along with developing technology capabilities and a sustainability-focused portfolio.

Sikka has been with the Mahindra Group for approximately 25 years. Since April 2020, he has served as President of the Farm Equipment Sector (FES) within Mahindra’s Auto & Farm Sector. Under his leadership, FES reported a 60% increase in revenue and more than doubled its profits. During this time, Mahindra’s domestic market share in the tractor segment grew by 210 basis points.

Before leading FES, Sikka held several roles within Mahindra, including President and Chief Purchase Officer of the Auto & Farm Sector, Head of Purchase at SsangYong Motors, and Head of Manufacturing in the Automotive Sector. He also worked with Maruti Suzuki for nine years prior to joining Mahindra.

MLL’s leadership transition is part of a broader set of internal appointments announced by Mahindra Group aimed at streamlining operations across business verticals.
