Airbus has announced changes to its Commercial Aircraft leadership, with new appointments taking effect from 1 July 2025. Rémi Maillard, currently serving as President of Airbus in India and South Asia, will assume the role of Executive Vice-President Engineering for the Commercial Aircraft business.

In his new position, Maillard will also serve as Head of Technology for Airbus, overseeing and coordinating research and technology activities across the company. He will be part of the Commercial Aircraft leadership team and will report to Christian Scherer, CEO of Commercial Aircraft. Airbus stated that Maillard’s successor as President of Airbus in India and South Asia will be announced at a later date.

Maillard will succeed Sabine Klauke, who has been appointed to a new role as Head of Digital Design Manufacturing and Services (DDMS) “Next Gen.” In this capacity, Klauke will lead the development and implementation of DDMS initiatives across Airbus’ divisions and report to Executive Vice-President Digital Catherine Jestin.

Maillard also serves as the President of the Federation of European Business in India (FEBI), which is the Chamber of EU businesses in India that is supported by the EU Delegation and the Embassies of EU Member States in India.
