Bharat Forge Ltd. and French company Turgis Gaillard have signed a memorandum of understanding to offer the AAROK unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to address India’s Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAV requirements. The announcement was made at the Paris Airshow in Le Bourget on 17 June 2025.

The AAROK UAV is designed for long-range surveillance missions, with the capability to fly for more than 24 hours at high altitudes. It is equipped with electromagnetic sensors and radar systems that enable it to monitor adversary activities while operating from a stand-off distance. The UAV is also permanently connected to command and control systems and other military assets to provide real-time tactical information.

The AAROK has a payload capacity exceeding 1.5 tonnes and is capable of deploying weapons from safe distances. It is intended to support multi-domain operations by striking targets behind enemy lines and engaging surface-to-air defence systems.

Bharat Forge plans to establish a local production line for the AAROK UAV in India. The company stated that these production capabilities will support the Indian armed forces’ requirements and enable local maintenance and overhaul operations. AAROK is designed to act as a force multiplier in a connected battlefield.
