OIC International (US), Medi Mold (India) and AddUp — a metal additive-manufacturing business of France’s Fives Group — have announced a strategic partnership to establish a metal 3D-printing and precision engineering facility for orthopaedic implants at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam.

The facility will use metal additive-manufacturing technology to produce patient-specific implants for domestic and export markets. AddUp’s FormUp family of powder-bed fusion machines — identified in coverage as the FormUp 350 — will be deployed at the site to support prototyping and serial production. Medi Mold will operate the facility at AMTZ.

OIC International will manufacture implants in India using its proprietary technology, targeting public-sector procurement (including government hospitals) and India’s private healthcare market. The agreement between the organisations is reported to be subject to necessary approvals and is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.

Wodehouse Capital Advisors — which provides M&A and capital-syndication services — and its representatives have confirmed investor interest in the project; sources say the initiative has attracted attention from financial and strategic investors in the medical-devices sector.OIC International (also referenced as The Orthopaedic Implant Company / OIC) is a US firm involved in orthopaedic implant design, manufacturing and distribution. Medi Mold is a company registered at AMTZ; public filings show a June 2025 incorporation under the name MEDI MOLD – DESIGN AND FABRICATION ASSOCIATION with a registered address at AMTZ.AddUp is a French industrial business (part of Fives Group) that manufactures metal additive-manufacturing machines, including the FormUp PBF series.
