Pavna Industries, an automotive component manufacturer, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish an auto-components manufacturing facility at the Future Mobility Park in Shoolagiri, Krishnagiri district. The company stated that the planned facility will increase its production footprint and contribute to the automotive supply chain.

The factory will produce components for passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for local talent.

The development comes after Pavna Industries’ joint venture with Taiwan-based SmartChip Microelectronic Corporation aimed at strengthening electric vehicle technology capabilities in India.

Pavna Industries operates manufacturing facilities in Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, Aurangabad and Pune in Maharashtra, and Pantnagar in Uttarakhand.

The company manufactures a wide range of automotive components for passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles. Its product portfolio includes ignition switches, fuel tank caps, latches, auto locks, handles, switches, oil pumps, carburettors, throttle bodies, fuel cocks, injection systems, casting components, and other parts.

With more than 50 years of experience in the automotive parts industry, Pavna supplies original equipment manufacturers including Bajaj, Honda, TVS, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Royal Enfield, and Eicher Motors. The company also exports to Italy, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Sudan, Taiwan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

The manufacturing facilities in India are certified under IATF and OHSAS standards. The company employs over 4,000 people and has adopted digitalisation and advanced manufacturing practices in its operations.
