Delta Electronics India and ThunderPlus have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions tailored for the Indian market. Under the agreement, Delta will supply high-efficiency 4kW rectifier modules manufactured at its Krishnagiri facility. These modules will be integrated into ThunderPlus’ fast chargers for two- and three-wheel EVs.

The rectifier modules are designed with an energy efficiency of up to 93%, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable and efficient EV charging infrastructure. The partnership focuses on addressing key challenges such as reducing charging downtime and alleviating range anxiety among EV users.

Delta Electronics India’s Managing Director, Niranjan Nayak, stated that the collaboration aims to contribute to the transition to electric mobility in India through innovative and energy-efficient solutions. Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, emphasized the importance of the partnership in creating EV charging systems suited to the needs of original equipment manufacturers and users.

The initiative reflects efforts to localize production and enhance India’s EV ecosystem by combining advanced technology with market-specific applications.
